Detailed Tour Itinerary
Our representative will receive you at Delhi International Airport and help you with the transfer and check-in process at your hotel. If you land earlier in the day, we shall arrange for a guided tour to the Akshardham temple, a perfect opening to the architecture, history and beauty of our incredible country.
After a night’s rest and a delicious breakfast, we will visit the historic destinations such as Red Fort, Qutub Minar, Humayun’s Tomb, India Gate and witness the grandeur of the historic times. A visit to the vibrant Chandni Chowk is a must before your return to your hotel.
A five hour drive in the morning will bring you to beautiful Mandawa. After checking into your hotel, a guided tour will take to the magnificent havelis dating back to the 18th and 19th centuries. The frescoes painted on the walls of these havelis are surely spectacular. Although, this part of the state is known for providing the highest number of recruits for the Indian Army, it is also known for the caste of shrewd businessmen, the Marwaris. So, pay close attention to the details of your deals when shopping in the market area. You will then return to your hotel for the night.
Mandawa - Bikaner
We start for Bikaner after breakfast. During this three hour drive, you will notice the desert of the region is not like the ones you had painted pictures of. The desert is harsh, has rocky soil and does not have many cactus plants. Welcome to Thar Desert!
After a sumptuous lunch, we will take you on a guided tour to Junagarh fort, Lalgarh Palace and the camel breeding farm to name a few places. The city is famous for Jharokas, the stone carved screens that you will find on the windows of the havelis. A visit to Bikaner is not complete if you do not taste the traditional snacks and sweets. We return back to the hotel to rest for the night.
Bikaner - Jaisalmer
We drive to Jaisalmer after an early morning breakfast. Called the Golden City, the sandstone walls of the city structures rise out of the barren desert and enchant you at first sight. We are sure you will spend little time at your hotel before starting off on your guided tour of the city that includes the Fort Palace Museum, the Gadisar Lake and the Jain Temples. The city has a medieval feel to it and we give you an additional day to experience the life of Jaisalmer.
We will take you to Khuri village, the starting point of an amazing day in the desert. A camel safari will take you to the Sam Sand dunes, the picture perfect desert, you always wanted to see. Enjoy the setting of the Sun at the Sunset Point after a walk through the desert. Cultural performances continue till late in the evening and you can retire in the tent camps set up at Khuri sand dunes.
An early morning pick up will bring you back to your hotel. We will drive to Manwar resort, located in the heart of the Thardesert. Another evening of folk dance and music awaits you after your trip to the rural lifestyle of Bishnoi village. We will rest at the resort for the night.
After breakfast, we will start for Luni, just outside Jodhpur, near Fort Chanawa. Beautiful courtyards, intricately carved facades adorn this fort that is now a hotel. You can explore this fort and nearby villages with a camel safari or just drive around in a car and finally return to your royal rooms.
We leave Luni after breakfast and head to Rajasthan’s only hill station - Mount Abu. A beautiful place to visit during the rains, the place attracts many local and international tourists in the summer too. The 11th century Dilwara temples must be not be missed. Some time is reserved for some shopping and leisure activities at Mount Abu.
We travel to Udaipur, the city of lakes. After you check into the hotel, you can rest for a few hours before we set out for a boat ride at Lake Pichola and visit the Jag Mandir Palace.
One whole day reserved to awe at the beautiful city of Udaipur, we have included the Shilpgram, Monsoon Palace, City Palace, Fateh Sagar Lake in the long list of must-see-places in Udaipur. Castles, wildlife, lakes, temples, Udaipur has it all. An overnight stay at the hotel.
With 400 temples, the city of Pushkar awaits you. After an early start in Udaipur, we head to Pushkar. After checking into the hotel, we will try and visit as many temples as we can. But, the Brahma temple, the only one in the whole country, will top our list. Other temples that must be visited are the Savitri temple, Mahadev temple, Ramavaikunth temple etc.
We will visit the ghats of Pushkar early in the morning to witness the holy dips taken by thousands of devotees and the chiming of bells from the hundreds of temples in the back drop. It is believed that taking a dip washes away all your sins and you could give it a try.
We return back to the hotel for breakfast and then start for our next destination, Samode. The Samode Palace is now a heritage hotel and offers a camel ride through the village, along with folk music and dance shows. The mirror work and paintings in the Palace are not to be missed when you are here.
We take you back to hustle and bustle of India, when we reach Jaipur, the capital city of the state of Rajasthan. The Pink City, as it is also called, has lots to offer and all is within city limits. The Amer Fort, the City Palace and its museum and even the Jantar Mantar, a 17th century astronomical observatory, are just a few places you must visit when you reach Jaipur and before you reach your hotel for a night’s rest.
On our way to Agra , we will visit the splendid old Mughal city of Fatehpur Sikri. If the architecture here mesmerizes you, wait till you get bowled over by the beauty of the Taj. The symbol of love, the sight of this marble stone structure is sure to enchant you for the rest of your life. We will then visit the Agra Fort before returning to your hotel.
Just before you wind up this amazing tour, we take you the Taj Mahal once again to relive those moments when you saw this wonder. This heritage site looks a marvellous pink during the early hours of the morning.
